Tertius, a Namibian, has been living in Africa for 50 years and has extensive experience as an investor and entrepreneur in over 8 African countries. He is the founder and CEO as well as Key Individual of Caveat Investments, an authorised Financial Service Provider which he established 2006.
Prior to forming Caveat Investments, Tertius was one of the Initial Advisors of Business Partners South Africa. His responsibilities included originating, structuring and submission of credit and/or equity applications to the Board and negotiating and monitoring investments on behalf of Business Partners.
He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Economics and Mercantile Law from the University of Stellenbosch, and is a Registered Persons for the Equity Market (SAIFM) as well as the Forex Market (SAIFM), and a member of the South African Institute of Financial Markets. Tertius completed all his Regulatory Exams under the FAIS act in South Africa RE-1, RE-3 and RE-5 to act as a Key Individual for an Authorised Financial Services Provider at the Financial Services Conduct Authority.
Tertius is a former Chief Life Saving Inspector of the Sea and Sand Life Saving Association. The Association focuses on fostering Leadership skills and knowledge of the sea for school leavers of the Sea and Sand Academy, Africa’s premier Life Saving preparatory college. He is on the Paul Roos Gymnasium Old Boys Johannesburg Gauteng Committee.
Tertius currently serves as a Fund Advisor to Tulimeke Capital Fund Ltd in Namibia as well as the Chairman of the Investment Committee of Military Veteran Gunners Association of South Africa (NPO) in Johannesburg.
